NSFAS Unisa Second Semester Application Date 2025
Unisa students who have received confirmation of their NSFAS funding for the 2025 academic year may register for semester 2.
NSFAS funding is valid for the full academic year. All students whose applications for 2025 NSFAS funding have been approved may register during Unisa’s semester 2 registration period, which opened in

Eligibility Criteria for NSFAS Funding Second Semester 2025
To determine your eligibility for NSFAS funding during the UNISA second semester, it’s important to understand the criteria set by NSFAS. Factors considered include household income, academic performance, citizenship or residency status, and whether you are a first-time or returning student. Therefore, You qualify for an NSFAS bursary if you are a South African citizen who plans to study in 2025 or you are already studying at UNISA you MUST meet the following requirements:

- SASSA grant recipients
- Applicants whose combined gross household income is not more than R350 000 per year
- Persons with disabilities whose combined gross household income is not more than R600 000 per year.

- All applicants must provide:
- Valid South African ID number of Applicant
- Valid South African ID number of parent(s), guardian, or spouse
