Therefore, if you are eligible and in need of financial assistance from NSFAS, your chance is NOW, you may submit your application from now until January 31, 2024.
Applicants must note that NSFAS may not accept late applications for the 2024/2025 academic year, therefore all applications and supporting documents must be submitted before the application deadline.
Eligibility Criteria For NSFAS Funding 2024/2025
NSFAS Applicants must meet the following criteria before submitting an application for financial assistance;
- South African citizens or permanent residents
- SASSA grant recipients
- Applicants whose combined gross household income is not more than R350 000 per year
- Persons with disabilities whose combined gross household income is not more than R600 000 per year.
- Must have an email account and cell phone number.
You may Not Apply For NSFAS if:
- You have already applied and received funding in previous years,
- have not yet graduated on your current qualification
- Do not intend to change from one sector to another (TVET College to University or vice-versa).
Required Documentation To Apply For NSFAS 2024/2025

- Students with disabilities must provide: A completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form.
