Applicants are to note that the closing date for NSFAS application for 2025 is on 31st January 2025 therefore all applications must be submitted before the closing date. The NSFAS application portal is currently open and active for the applications.

Eligibility Requirements For NSFAS Application 2025-2026
Apart from completing the online application form, applicants must also submit their supporting documents to NSFAS. These documents include
- South African citizens or permanent residents
- SASSA grant recipients
- Applicants whose combined gross household income is not more than R350 000 per year
- Persons with disabilities whose combined gross household income is not more than R600 000 per year.
- Must have an email account and cell phone number.

- Apply now:

Required Documents To Apply For NSFAS 2025-2026
To apply for NSFAS, the following documents are required for the 2025-2026 application;
Students with disabilities must provide:
- A completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
Students recognised as vulnerable children must provide:
- An applicant who is recognised as a vulnerable child by the Department of Social Development must provide a Vulnerable Child Declaration form completed by a social worker
Other documents that may be required, if applicable:
- Retrenchment letter
- Death certificate/s
- Divorce Decree
- Proof of legal guardianship
- Marriage certificate
