Click on the “Apply” tab to update your personal information and upload your application supporting documents, as indicated.

Submit your complete application. Submit your complete application before the closing date.

Documents Required To Apply For NSFAS 2025

All NSFAS prospective applicants are required to submit supporting documents. The documents required are:

Students with disabilities must provide:

A completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form.

Students recognised as vulnerable children must provide:

An applicant who is recognised as a vulnerable child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed Vulnerable Child Declaration form completed by a social worker.

Other documents that may be required, if applicable:

Retrenchment letter
Death certificate/s
Divorce Decree
Proof of legal guardianship
Marriage certificate

Once your application has been submitted, NSFAS will assess your application and give you feedback via SMS or email to inform you of your application whether successful or unsuccessful. You will then be asked to check the status of your NSFAS application for the 2025 academic session.
